IAAM is a strong supporter of Indie Music, "We all start at the beginning, and any help, no matter what the size of support, makes a difference".  Says many Musicians/bands that love IAAM.  DJ Taz appreciates the audio, video shoutouts and posters the bands have sent IAAM over the years.  IAAM is not pay to play.  Meaning, they will feature the band at no cost.  IAAM does not make it hard to submit material either. 

IAAM will request a station shoutout, but it's not required.  As stated, many musicians/bands have done those and more.  DJ Taz, "we use the station shoutouts right before we feature the band's music.  We found this makes the experience for the listener more personal when learning about the musician/band.  The shoutouts also boost our credibility, and we truly appreciate the bands that take time to do these".  When you watch IAAM's livestreamed shows, the walls are filled with posters sent in from the bands, all framed and looking good.  Check out the blog section and then look for the Indie Bands category and learn more.

History of: Early Beginnings (2010): The roots of IAAM Radio trace back to early 2010 when DJ Taz, then a Mergers and Acquisitions Executive, started a music forum with an emphasis on Indie Musicians/Bands. This hobby evolved when he met DJ Anubis from Hordes of Chaos via Metal Tavern Radio, which introduced him to internet broadcasting. In 2010, "It's All About Music – IAAM Radio" was officially born.

Transition to Podcast (2014): Initially, IAAM Radio operated as a 24/7 internet stream. However, in 2014, it transitioned from a continuous stream to a podcast/livestream format. This change also marked a move towards recording shows in video, setting it apart from many other internet radio stations at the time.

Continued Evolution and Active Production (Present): Since 2014, IAAM Radio has continued to be actively produced by DJ Taz and his guest DJs. While it's always been a hobby rather than his main profession, he maintains a consistent release schedule, often weekly, providing both audio and video content. He is known for his passion for music, enjoying a refreshment during the show, and interacting with his chat room community during live broadcasts.

Ongoing Presence: As of late 2024 and early 2025, the podcast remains active, with new episodes being released regularly.
