Chashe, a Zimbabwean-born Afro-pop musician based in the UK.
She is known for her Afro-pop music, which blends Southern African and Western influences. Critics have compared her style to artists like Solange, Beatenberg, and Brenda Fassie.
Born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, Chashe started as a songwriter, pianist, and singer. She later moved to Cape Town, South Africa, to study music at the University of Cape Town (UCT).
She gained prominence with her 2015 single "Zvekupenga", which was featured on the album Hello.
She released her debut album "Dhi" in 2012, which received national airplay and charted in Zimbabwe. More recently, she released the album "LUCID" in August 2020.
Chashe has performed at events and venues such as the Harare International Festival of Arts (HIFA), the House of Blues, Zimfest London, and the Berklee Performance Centre.
Production Work: Chashe is also a music producer and has produced several tracks on her album LUCID.
