Ever since I was 4, when my father brought home the first two Beatles albums and their early singles, I've had a love of music. He encouraged me to have an eclectic taste, with his enjoyment extending to Frank Sinatra, Jazz and Classical. Both my parents encouraged me to learn to play the guitar which I am grateful for.
Initially my taste grew to include rock, soul, R'n'B, Pop music with bands like The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Yes, Sweet, The Temptations, Pink Floyd, Free as the mainstay of my listening but if I am honest, there are so many bands I enjoy the music of, its almost churlish to pick those few out.
I was a mobile DJ in the 80's as well as a singer in a band. During the crash in the late 80's and 90's, I pursued amateur dramatics for a while (voicing the "Plant" in Leigh-on-Sea's Little Theatre Club production of Little Shop Of Horrors).
​During the '00's I took the position of match day announcer for Billericay Town FC which I developed very much to a live match day radio show. I did this for over 10 years until leaving in 2017.
In 2020, while the Covid Pandemic was in its infancy, I joined Voodoo Radio and eventually presented two shows.
In 2022, by accident, I started CMRSradioone.com and am determined to share my enjoyment of the music I enjoy as well as discovering new music.
​I believe music is part of our well being, mentally as well as physically. Reaching out and sharing it is the mainstay of the station and I hope will help bring people together. At the very least to bring a smile and some light to some in this rather confused world we currently live in, through the power of a good tune or two.
An aspiring author, when I get the time to finish the many books and stories I have started but failed to finish, I also enjoy photography. Also have a family wicked sense of humour which should never be taken seriously because "I only jest".
