David Von Beahm
David Von Beahm is a multi-instrumental recording artist from Baltimore,
Maryland on the Abrasive Monologues Indie Label.
Drawing musical influence from the Post-punk, New Wave, Shoegaze, and
80s and 90s indie genres, he has worked to create his own brand of those
sounds. His songs, over the course of 7 albums, contains both light and dark
emotional content that come with being alive. He also created a music video
for the single “Let the Rain Fall” (2026), learning how to capture, edit, and
release his video with high praise from the indie music community of
musicians, engineers, and music executives.
His music can be found on all major streaming platforms, Bandcamp,
Subvert, and on physical vinyl and CD. He has collaborated with other indie
artists such as Tim Woodruff and Truckdog and the Go People. David
contributed bass guitar on a high gain version of Blondie’s “Call Me” also
featuring Jon Hadley, Pixie Post, and Keegan Clark.
David has achieved the top spot on It Is Now Radio Top 40 based out of
Swindon, UK as voted on by the general public from 160,000-216,000 votes
weekly. The title song from the album “Half Life” (2026) was featured as a
New Artist Spotlight Song of the Week in August of 2026. Von Beahm’s
music has also been played several times on terrestrial radio in New Zealand
through Indie Pulse/Melavox. He has also been played on Long Island Night
Light Radio, The Lone Frequencies podcast, NAS radio, and is also a regular
on the Indie Music Showcase, The Indie Music Hunt, and Indie Boom
Shockwave as well as many other internet radio stations. In 2023 he was a
semi-finalist in the Unsigned Only Music Awards.
Von Beahm occasionally appears as a guest host on Indie Boom Shockwave
which highlights many other indie artists in a conversational, high-energy
format streaming live on Twitch, X, and Youtube simultaneously. He has also
been interviewed on The Songwriter’s Studio with Bluebeard Bard (2026)
and on the Mouthful of Graffiti podcast (2021). David frequently promotes
his and other indie artists’ music on X, Threads, and Facebook social media
sites.
