I Woke Up Early For My Funeral was a hard rock band based in Orlando, Florida, active in the 2010s. The group was known for its creative, diverse sound and energetic live performances. 


Band history and members

  • Formation: Guitarist Ryan Christopher formed the band in 2012. The name came from a personal belief to live each day to its fullest, as if "waking up early for my funeral".

  • Personnel: In 2014, the lineup included:

    • Brandon James: Vocals

    • Ryan Christopher: Guitar and piano

    • John Panaccione: Bass

    • Josh Henry: Drums


  • Influences and style: The band created a hard rock sound by blending elements of alternative, classic, and metal music. They cited diverse influences such as Stone Sour, Led Zeppelin, Jane's Addiction, and Avenged Sevenfold.
