Which is First?

Live to learn or learn to live? Tough question, and this is not referring to the biological aspects of life but more so, the cognitive growth of what life/living is? Do we live first so we learn? Perhaps we learn, and in doing so, we live and experience life. Is there a balance, if so, what is the tipping point?
