Road Bill joined the award winning band Kevin Purcell and the Nightburners over 20 years ago, starting as a roadie and eventually managing the considerable inventory of the bands equipment. Over the 1st decade Road Bill applied himself when feasible to learning the logistics of the sound and audio equipment, and ultimately became an accomplished sound engineer in his own right. Bill is still working as roadie, but also handles the equipment, the maintenance of the vehicles to haul the equipment, and is also the sound engineer for 80% of the Nightburners shows, and runs an entire light show as well.

After years of running sound at shows, other bands in the area, upon recognizing his expertise, began hiring Road Bill for their sound needs as well. This is quite an accomplishment for someone who also works during the day as an arborist for over 20 years. Road Bill also maintains the studio for The Nightburners in Lake County, with a rehearsal space and plenty of sound equipment.

As well as coordinating the business and activities when the Nightburners hit the road, Road Bill helps with the scheduling and booking of the band on occasion, and handles all the logistics for stage placement and a full stage lighting array for The Nightburners concerts.

Road Bill has been instrumental in developing the sound for The Nightburners and several other associated bands.
